IndyCars @ Gateway (Car Pack v1.3) & COT @ Pocono!!
The FBR IndyCar Series had a good race on the streets of St. Petersburg.. What many feared to be a headache of a race turned out to be a very good event and one that provided plenty of drama and strategy.. Eventual winner Marco Brughelli stretched his points lead to 27 over 2nd place finisher Butch Davis.. Kory Williams remains in 3rd after another strong run.. The series heads to Gateway this week, where many drivers are looking forward to getting back on an oval.. It should be an interesting race as handling and tire conservation could come into play on the tricky track.. We have made corrections within the .RFM and .VEH files to extend the yellow flag period by one lap and to finally fix the pit stall placement after qualifying.. The v1.08D Patch is extremely small at only 611kb and should be installed to your root rFactor folder.. This patch was released before the Iowa race.. Download ---> : FBR IndyCar Series v1.08 Patch D We have our THIRD skin pack available for the IndyCar series now.. Installation is simple, as you just point the installer to your rFactor or VHR installation.. This skin pack fixes the issues with the #11 car as well as adds a few new cars to the list.. This is a NEW RELEASE and is required for this week's race at St. Petersburg.. Download ---> : FBR IndyCar Series Skin Pack v1.3 The FBR Motorsports COT Series is heading to Pocono after a tough run at Indianapolis.. Indy proved to be very daunting for several drivers as many found the curbing in the corners tough to avoid.. A lot of early yellows eventually gave way to some longer green flag runs that saw numerous lead changes and quite a bit of passing.. Strategy came into play late in the race as two green-white-checkers were needed to get the race completed, with eventual winner Kory Williams taking the checkers just 0.66 ahead of Matty Watkins.. The series heads to Pocono for the 2nd time this season, and it should be a good race as the drivers have had a chance to rethink their strategy and approach to the track.. The new v2.7 skin pack is now available for the VHR COT Series.. Make sure you read the brief instructions when installing.. :) There's a few new cars in this one, so make sure you get it before Saturday's event.. This package includes cars for Bob McBride (#32 Toyota) and JD Webb (#59 Chevy).. Download ----> : FBR VHR COT 2010 Skin Pack v2.7 A new COT skin pack should be available on Friday..

Kory Williams brought the #18 M&Ms car to victory lane while the rest of the field was busy trying to collect various car parts off of the track following a wild finish at Iowa on Thursday night.. The #1 Gould Charge of Rick Ravon had the lead late in the race, but Williams was able to get under Ravon, and opened the door for several other drivers to move underneath.. As the field came to the white flag, contact was made between Ravon's car and that of Jason Fuchs' #19 Mopar car.. The triggered a massive multi-car incident that involved all but 3 drivers.. Marco Brughelli's #11 7-Eleven car and Mike Born's #14 Old Spice car were able to make it through unscathed, but that wouldn't last long as those two made contact in turn 3 putting both into the wall.. Even with the damage from the first incident, Hal Moore was able to pilot his #9 Budweiser car home in 2nd, followed by Mike Morris' #05 Marlboro Menthol car and Jason Fuchs.. The race started out very well for all drivers, as a long green flag run produced a lot of side-by-side and three-wide action.. Damian Katz, the youngest driver in FBR's history, led a total of 18 laps in his #47 West car before fuel issues forced his retirement on lap 61.. Butch Davis, one of the early season points leaders, led laps again and had a shot at victory until the final lap incident ruined those chances.. Mark Page's night ended early when the engine in his #33 Skoal Bandit expired with 17 laps remaining.. Jaime Huppert again showed he could hang with the big boys in his #96 MOMO car, but like many others, fell victim to the last lap incidents..

The FBR IndyCar Series hit the 1.5 mile cookie cutter of Kansas on Thursday night with tensions running high.. With several drivers continuing to show improvement in these cars, the race was up for grabs.. Polesitter Marco Brughelli led the field to the green, with Chad Simpson on outside pole.. Butch Davis started third, followed by Jason Fuchs, Hal Moore, Mike Morris, Kory Williams, Kyle Millikin, Mike Norris, Jaime Huppert, and Patrick Norris.. The drivers learned very quickly that the race would be a huge chess match, as a total of 75 lead changes took place during the event.. Patrick Norris' day ended on lap 21 when contact with the wall tore the right front suspension from the #17 Ethanol car.. Kyle Millikin's race started out very promising, as he was able to fight his way to the lead for a total of 6 laps, but a blown motor on lap 37 put the #42 Patron Tequila car out of the race.. Mike Norris' day would end only 19 laps from the finish as a mechanical failure sidelined the #20 Invicta Watches car, leaving Norris to finish 9th.. Overall, the race was slowed by 3 yellows for a total of 9 laps, but the race pace still averaged well over 190mph for the entire event.. A final lap incident between Jason Fuchs and Mike Morris relegated the two drivers to 7th and 8th place finishes respectively, which is a far cry from where they could have finished during a mad dash on the last lap as both were positioned with a chance to win coming out of turn 2.. The incident between the #19 Mopar car of Fuchs and #05 Marlboro car of Morris opened the door for the #11 Army car of Marco Brughelli to get a tow from both the #18 M&Ms car of Kory Williams and the #43 STP car of Butch Davis as they exited turn 4.. As the drivers exited turn 4, Davis was underneath Williams, and Brughelli was able to pull under both drivers coming to the line.. Brughelli dove to the apron of the track and all three drivers crossed the line side by side.. In the end, Brughelli earned his first victory of the season, beating Davis to the line by 18 thousandths of a second, with Williams only 4 thousandths behind Davis.. Hal Moore continued his consistent ways finishing a strong 4th in the #9 Budweiser car, followed by Chad Simpson in his #15 Target ride.. Jaime Huppert had a great showing, bringing his #96 MOMO car home a respectable 6th.. Next up for the IndyCar series is the fast short track in Iowa, where 17 second laps are the norm.. It's sure to be quite a different race than Kansas as handling and tire management will play a much larger role at Iowa.. Regardless, it should be one hell of an event..

The FBR Motorsports COT Series hit the high banks of Talladega after a rain-out at New Hampshire forced a location change.. The drivers took to the track for 80 laps of intense action, with Matty Watkins pulling out the victory by 7 hundredths of a second over Jason Fuchs.. Kory Williams finished 3rd, extending his massive points lead to 402 over 5th place finisher Hal Moore.. Mike Morris had a shot for the win, but was shuffled out of line out of turn 4 and finished 4th.. After a promising start, the race was marred by a series of cautions that took out over half of the field in a matter of 20 laps..Post race interviews were cunducted with the top 5 finishers click below to listen in on what they had to say about there race. Click here for interviews. The COT series hits the high banks of Daytona on July 10th, and several drivers are hoping it's a better event than Talladega proved to be..

The FBR Motorsports IndyCar Series zipped around the Milwaukee Mile last Thursday night for 150 laps of fast-paced, white-knuckle action.. 53 lead changes between 6 drivers kept the action at an insanely intense level, even though the race was slowed 7 times for 21 laps of yellow.. In the end, Butch Davis squeaked out the victory, but a post-race penalty took away 30 points from the series leader, leaving the gap to 2nd place at only 11 points.. Chad Simpson, who narrowly escaped the incident for which Davis was penalized, finished 2nd, only one tenth of a second behind Davis.. Hal Moore nearly nipped Simpson at the line, only one hundredth behind Simpson..
The IndyCar Series heads to Kansas this Thursday for another round of white-knuckle action, and the intensity level should only rise from here on out as drivers become more comfortable behind the wheel of these cars..
